Interested in a free trip to MARS? Come to the February 7 meeting of your Trout Lake Community Council at 7pm at the T.L. school. Jay McLaughlin, director of Mt. Adams Resource Stewards (MARS), will be speaking about community forests and the survey that Trout Lake box holders received back in the fall. Historically forests have been a major source of jobs and economic stability in the Trout Lake area, and one of the purposes of a community forest is to ensure that forests remain so. Your Community Council invites members of the community to come hear more about this intriguing topic. Please join us at 7 pm, Wednesday, February 7, at the school. Copies of the survey are available on the bulletin board at the post office.
