We will hold a short TLABA meeting 7:30pm Thur Nov 1st at the Grange. Topics: Bike Tour review and pre-planning for next year plus possible new welcome sign for Trout Lake. All are welcome.

THIS HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO SCHEDULING PROBLEMS DUE TO THE FIRE. We’ll reschedule the special meeting in October when Bev’s duties have calmed down.

Meteorites & Shooting Stars talk – You’re Invited!

Trout Lake community members – You are all invited –

Instead of our business meeting on Thursday May 24, the Trout Lake Area Business Association in conjunction with the Trout Lake Men’s Club are hosting an excellent talk on meteorites by PSU Field Scientist Dick Pugh. From 6:30 to 6:45pm, prior to Dick’s 7pm talk, we’ll have a brief organizational update on our 10th annual TL/Mt Adams Country Bike Tour which will be held Saturday June 30th. We still need helpers, especially folks to help at the registration table, sag wagon drivers with vans or pickup trucks, and people to help with preparing and putting out road signs – contact Rick Allen, 509-395-0024.

Do you want to know about meteorites & shooting stars?
Then you will want to hear Mr. Dick Pugh on Thursday May 24th. Mr. Pugh has studied meteorites all his adult life and is a leading authority on meteorites he has taught at Cleveland High School in Portland, and is now at the Cascadian Institute of Meteorites at Portland State University. He will bring with him $15,000. worth of meteorites so you can see and handle them.
    Mr. Pugh will speak at the Trout Lake Men’s Club at 7:00 pm May 24th at the Grange where  everyone is welcomed. In the morning he  will speak to the students of Trout Lake School at 11:00 AM.
